Is anyone getting Whatsapp Incoming calls notification on Apple Watch Ultra 2?

I am currently using an Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max, paired with an Apple Watch Ultra 2. I have recently observed that I am not receiving WhatsApp incoming call notifications on my Apple Watch, whereas cellular incoming call notifications are working as expected. However, I am receiving WhatsApp message notifications without any issues.

I am unsure whether this issue arose due to a recent iOS update or another factor, but it has been causing me to miss several important WhatsApp calls. I have already reached out to the WhatsApp Support Team, but their response was limited to ensuring that notification settings are enabled correctly, which I have already verified.

I would appreciate your assistance in troubleshooting this issue. Please let me know if there are any specific settings, updates, or configurations that need to be adjusted to restore WhatsApp call notifications on my Apple Watch. Thanks

it's really up to how the iphone watchapp handle calls vs. messages

I admit I don't use the app much, but if when it get a call vs. a message

if it only send a notification when it's a message and the app itself take focus when it's a call

then the watch is never informed being there is no watch watchapp app for apple watch it solely

rely on notifications, and if a call don't result in a notification then the watch will be non the wiser.

My Apple Watch Ultra 2 does also not notify me, if I'm getting a WhatsApp call. Only notifications are being passed on from my iPhone.

As already mentioned by Rudegar, WhatsApp calls may not be handled as notifications by WhatsApp on the iPhone.

If a WhatsApp call comes in, the watch stays silent, but since I enabled the Mute switch, the iPhone starts vibrating instead.
