iPhone 13 Podcast app stuck on spinning wheel, not downloading new episodes

Podcast app seems to just have spinning wheel, not downloading new episodes. i have plenty of space on the phone. I have rebooted the phone and updated software. considering just moving to spotify if Apple does not want to fix and update. iPhone 13 -- if the answer is deleting the app and reinstalling, it seems easier to just move to spotify.

music and podcasts keep skipping since latest iOS update Hi, since the latest iOS update (18.3) music and podcasts keeping skipping back to the beginning on Spotify and Apple Music/podcasts. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the apps and restarting my phone. I’ve also tried using different headphones and speakers. All without any luck. Anyone got any handy hints? I have an iPhone 13. Thanks
