Pages can't save new document on 2020 MacBook Air

I AM USING A MAC BOOK AIR 2020 running sequoia 15,3 when i start a new document and name it. the bix surrounding the new name blinks and has problems accepting letters at random.


when i save it, the names aren't accepted and the name stays untitled


this started today. previously even under dwquoia it worked. I've closed pages and reopened it with no effect

If you have any anti-virus or so-called Mac cleaner applications installed, or any other "junk" that you installed before this problem began, I recommend removing that software per the vendor's uninstall instructions.


Reboot your Mac. If your version of Pages is older than v14.3, you should get that version from the Mac App Store.


Where are you attempting to save the Pages document? Local, external, or network drive?
