Captions not appearing on replay in iMovie after iPad update

Since the latest update of I-Pad, the captions aren't appearing on replay. They are visible when I create the reel, but when I hit play, they don't show up. I've been creating reels for years now. This is a new problem. Thanks for your help on this issue.

Captions won't show! Hello Community! I have been trying to add captions, but they are not showing. I go to the edit menu, the captions and add caption. The caption clip appears at the top of the timeline and the caption editor opens. I have already selected CEA-608 by then. Then I type my line but the subtitle won't appear on the screen. Stills keep snapping to wrong place on timeline Just when I think I have iMovie figured out, something happens. I have this long piece of narration that I've imported into a new project. Now I want to add stills to illustrate the narration along appropriate points of the timeline. I have added three stills so far but when I try to drag them to a different place along the narration in the timeline, they keep snapping back to the beginning as shown in the screenshot. This has never happened to me before, but then, I don't normally start with a long piece of narration. How do I fix this?

iMovie play head jumps to start of clip when I try to split it on iphone After searching and trying for hours, I found the reason for iMovie on iPhone (and iPad) jumping to the beginning when you try to split the movie by tipping at the playhead: the movie has to be in the split mode before. You have to tip on the scissors, scroll then to the desired position, tip again on the movie timeline and voila, the playhead stays in position and dies not jump back to the beginning. It drove me almost crazy...
