I’m only using the default notification sounds on my iPhone, but suddenly, after an update, my notifications changed for Instagram only. All other apps are working fine with the default notification settings. This change occurred after the update, and I’m currently running iOS 18.3.1.

There is a notification bugg right now and its massive for alot of ppl. Instagram notification does not follow the defaut tone set in settings. This is esp anoyeing for ppl like me who use vibrate only and now we have sound notifications when not on silent

That would be the result of Instagram changing the tone. Apple was not involved.
Your next question might be whether you can change it back. That would be up to Instagram.
That is compleatly wrong. Ios has the capacity to set a default sound on your iphone that works for all msg apps. As of today instagram does not work with ios sounds you picked in the menu. This must be fixed. Furthermore in the setings you can put vibrate only as a default sound and insta Used to gibrate on notification without sound this also does not work as of late

Sorry, but you are wrong. Instagram has never permitted users to pick a notification sound for their app. NEVER. EVER. Instagram is responsible for their notification sound and if you don't like it, complain to them. Apple has nothing to do with them, their app or their sounds.
Then why 1 mounth ago my instagram notifications had no sound and just vibration as it was set in settings and all of a suddent they start having sound ? And no vibration. Its so messed up. Am not on silent and etc .
Instagram is responsible for their notification sound and we as users have no control over it. If you don't like the sound, let Instagram know. Apple doesn't own Instagram, nor have any control over the notification sound Instagram uses.

No, Instagram changed the sound, this has nothing to do with the iOS update. Contact Instagram and let them know if you don't like their new alert sound.
How can I reach out to Instagram to report this notification sound issue?

Because Instagram changed something. Apple doesn't have any ability to change anything in Instagram.
