Two finger scrolling not working on new Apple magic trackpad with Macbook Air M2

Bought a brand new Apple Magic Trackpad and paired with my Macbook Air M2. I have enabled 2 finger scrolling in System Settings, (the scrolling works perfectly on the inbuilt trackpad). I have tried restarting and re-pairing the Magic Trackpad. 2-Finger scrolling not working in webpages or documents. The Magic Trackpad otherwise works, i.e. point and click is working fine

Also how do I tell if my Trackpad is charging or fully charged?

@MikeForReal - I updated the OS to Sequoia 15.3.1. Switched the trackpad on and off a few times. Did a full shut down and restarted my MacBook Air. External trackpad is now working fine. All functions including 2-finger scrolling working. Hope this works for you too. I still don't know how to figure out the battery percentage on my trackpad though - Suresh
