What causes clicking noise on iPad Pro after iOS 18.3 update?

After my iPad auto updated to 18.3, I can hear a clicking noise that is constant whether the iPad is on or turned off. It sounds like it’s coming from the top of the iPad where the pen attaches. I have an iPad Pro 12.9 fourth generation.

If a restart of your iPad does not clear the issue, you would be best advised to seek assistance directly from Apple Support. You can contact the Support Team using the Support link at top-right or bottom-left of this page.

Alternatively, you can initiate and manage your support cases from Apple devices using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:

You might also visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to test and assess your iPad:
