Animate car in Keynote

I want to create an animation in Keynote looking down on a graphic of a curve in a road and a car driving around the curve. I have the graphic of the curve and top down graphic of a car and im trying to animate the car. First I tried the move animation and made the path follow the curve in the road. This doesnt rotate the car is it would in the real world so I added a 90 degree rotation to the car. I set the two animations to last the same amount of time and to run together. The result does not look natural at all. I next used multiple slides with the car and moved a little between each slide. I set the transition to magic move and had the slides advance automatically. This looked better but still not natural. Anyone have a suggestion as to how to animate it better ?

I had a quick play with this, and see what you mean.

The issue hinges on the fact that Keynote transitions from point A to point B in a straight line and doesn't account for physics and curved paths. Ease-in and Ease-out help, but it's not enough to mirror a complex path.

You can get closer by adding more paths/checkpoints and stringing multiple transitions together, but it's a diminishing return.

Instead I'd look to some other animation software. Something like Blender, for example, can create a movie of an object moving on a complex path and you can import the movie into your presentation.
