I’m typing a text msg and Siri is hearing what is being said in background (tv or wife) types what it hears into my text msg. I’ve tried to turn off whatever i can find but it still is happening.

Yes, that could be a factor. To test, take out your hearing aids, and put them for example in their charging case nowhere near your iPhone and then try to type a message.
Did you by accident tap the Microphone which is at the far right of the enter text box?
Good question (and I had not considered that option). BTW, it’s doing it as i type this reply. Also, i just did an email test (replying to a random email) and it also did it there - without the “microphone” being turned on.
