Additional home screens disappearing randomly

In iOS 18, for no apparent reason my additional home screens keep disappearing. I have 3 pages of apps, and sometimes when I swipe right to access those additional pages it only goes to the library of apps. No additional screens are there. If I tough and hold screen to go into layout mode and swipe right there’s just an empty screen as if all the apps have been deleted. Then randomly later on the screens will reappear. The only way I have found to get them back instantly is to restart the phone. But there must be a bug in iOS 18 that’s causing this to happen randomly as I am not doing anything to cause it.
