Green screen after ios18.3 update

My iphone13 mini got intermittent complete green screen after I updated to iOS 18.3. Stays in green screen for quite long periods even if I try restarting and recovery modes. I can feel the haptics working but the screen is green. Met a genius at the orchard Singapore Apple Store and they confirmed nothing wrong with phone, only the screen. Had to pay S$345 to replace it and they selected “cracked screen” as the cause to replace the screen. Whole thing feels super dodgy.

anyone else encounter this in your country? Did you have to pay for something Apple is doing to us on purpose? The genius confirmed there’s nothing else wrong with my phone.

I had this issue as well. It started with flickering green tint. Then it remains there. In order to remove it, seitch off dark mode, switch off true tone, display brightness set to above 50% and switch off auto-brightness function and ta-da fixed.

If this is not IOS update bug, please explain how it happen. Never had phone dropped, phone soaked in water or even jail broken.

I have called apple and was told to get it serviced. Sound more like Razor’s tactic of pushing updates to destroy hardware and make more money.

It's not always the iOS update's fault!  Many things can cause phone problems.  If you tell people you think it's an iOS update, it might make it harder to fix or find a solution for the real issue.

Remember, the right question often leads to the solution!

Was/Is your device Jailbroken? If that's the situation, please be informed that attributing the issues to iOS updates may not be accurate.

iOS updates aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. The majority of the issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

Kindly consider checking your settings and addressing any device issues before attributing the issue to external factors. This could be a pure coincidence that the iOS update affected the iPhone functions.

Before initiating a standard iOS update, it's advisable to create a backup. Have you completed this step? If yes, proceed with the restoration from the backup.

Not jailbroken. All regularly backed up always. Battery health is great. Not cracked. Never dropped. Not drowned. According to the geniuses my phone’s all good inside and out. Except for the green screen. I suppose it could be attributed to coincidence that this happened after I updated the software to iOS 18.3. But why’s Apple replacing the screen for free in other countries for the green screen issue in the iPhone 13 series?
