What does in-app purchase license terms on Apple devices mean

Regarding a "license" - No, the app will not automatically be renewed unless you have automatic updates set up on your Apple device. Having a license means you are not purchasing the app outright. You do not own it. But the license allows you to use their app while it is available and while you conform to their rules and regulations.
