How to use GarageBand on iPad Pro M1 with iPadOS 17?

It is legitimate to work on iOS17/iPadOS 17. It is legitimate to use GarageBand on my iPad Pro M1.

But, it is no longer legitimate, to run GarageBand AND run iPadOS 17, simultaneously.

Are there any workarounds? If this is deliberate, it’s a pretty hostile stance by Apple. Forcibly ‘cancelling’ my use of the music software Apple surely must want me to use in preference to others, out of the blue, is not by consensus.

It’s not life or death, but it’s unpleasant and dull.
