Organizing photos by date in iOS 18.3

I downloaded IOS 18.3 thinking the problem of organizing photos BY DATE TAKEN was goi g to get fixed, but it didn't. I got sent about 45 photos taken in 2015 and I saved them, now they are showing in recently taken as being taken last. I know it seems like a minor thing, but when trying to find pictures in a hurry this is not helping. Is there a way in which I can sort pictures by date taken? I don't' find any option in the new update or in my last 1os 18.1 either. Please help. If anyone has a way to do this it will be greatly appreciated. Before I remember when you saved an older photo or video it would accurately save to the timeline in which it had been taken.

Thank you

I'm having what appears to be the opposite problem. For instance - I made my own wedding invite 11 years ago and recently used the same file to generate a new anniversary invite. When I sent it to my phone to send to my friends, it shows up in the library in 2013! I want my Library to sort by "date modified" not "date taken" It's terrible for version control.
