That might be your problem. When you kill apps in the app switcher it actually slows down your iPhone→Do not close "background" apps | Communities

Also, do you have any "helper" apps such as antivirus, storage management, RAM management or anything like that? ALL of them are useless, except to enrich the seller and slow down your devices.

Do you have a lot of apps running in the background? One cause of a delayed opening is a lot of background activity that needs to be stopped, saved and then free memory to open the camera app.

If you want to post a screenshot of the app activity for last 10 days we can dig deeper. Please follow this path,

iPhone > Settings > Battery > tap last 10 days > tap activity by app > screenshot of just apps. We don’t need the graphs at top of screen.

Here’s mine,

You have lots of apps doing activities in the background.

Photos nearly 4 hours

WhatsApp 1 ½ hours

Snapchat 1 ½ hours

Spotify 2 hours

Try quitting all apps by swiping up. Wait several minutes and then turn your iPhone off and back on. Let your iPhone sit for a minute or two after it restarts.

Don’t worry, you want have to do this every time you want to take a picture. We’re just diagnosing the issue.

Once it sat for a minute or two, try launching the camera app by any of the methods Lawrence mentioned above.

And getting you iPhone restored automatically starts all the background activity. So we’re back to trying quitting all open apps restarting you iPhone, waiting a few minutes and trying to open your camera app.

If you don’t want to do that, wait 3 to 5 days for all background activity to settle down and then do what I’m asking.

But at the end of the day I’m only trying to help diagnose your camera app issue. It’s up to you how to proceed.,😀😀
