Why does my Beats Pill keep disconnecting from my iPhone?

Got a new Beats Pill last Dec and have been facing issues towards its connectivity. Using it paired to my iPhone 15 PRO (everything is updated) and sometimes the Beats will pause/disconnect/turn off itself. Did a factory reset a few weeks ago and got better but never totally got rid of this issue -- but now it's back as it was...

Talked to Apple on the phone and they suggest taking it to the store to see what is happening, but there's lots of users complaining about this and it's not a my-unit-kind of issue...

Yeah, that's also what I'm feeling. Made a bad choice purchasing this speaker. And it seems that Apple isn't doing anything about it. I was hoping that it would be a matter of software update but maybe it's beyond that and we're stuck with a terrible product that doesn't work as it was supposed to.

I've never purchased anything from Beats and I only did it this time 'cause I trusted Apple for owning Beats now... What a disappointment.

"... and it's not a my-unit-kind of issue..." Sorry, but could you please explain that a bit more. Are you saying that this Beats Pill is not yours or that those "lots of users complaining" is what they are saying?

I have the exact same issue with 3 separate Beats Pills. I have a gold, a red, and a black. The black was the first one to start doing it. It started in January, after about a month of use. Sometimes the music just randomly pauses, and if I hit play it will resume. Other times, the audio will stop and when I look at my phone the Pill no longer shows up as a paired Bluetooth device, then the Pill plays the startup chime like it has rebooted or something. For me a factory reset does not seem to help at all. I've reset 2 of my 3 Pills and they still randomly pause, and/or restart.

I have the same issue. Beats Pill worked great for the first month. Then the pausing randomly started. I tried factory resets and every tip/trick I could find. Nothing works. It pauses my audiobooks and music randomly. Sometimes it happens immediately after starting, and sometimes I can go 30 minutes before it happens. My speaker is still under warranty, but from what I have read this is an issue with all of the speakers. I doubt the warranty matters. I should have bought a Bose. Really disappointed.

Update. I may have found a fix. I don’t understand how this works, but (fingers crossed) two of my Pills have been working without issue. Your mileage may vary.

This is on my two Pills that I have factory reset. I haven’t tested it on my red Pill that I haven’t reset.

I only play music from two sources – either my own music library, or Pandora.

Anyway, after performing a reset on my black Pill I played music from my own iTunes collection. Did this for a few hours and I had no interruptions. I switched back to Pandora, and still no interruptions.

I could never get more than 20-30 minutes in Pandora without it hanging up in some way, either pausing or completely dropping the connection. My black Beats Pill has been playing Pandora flawlessly for 3 days now. I just tried this on my gold Pill, and it’s on its second day without hiccups.

Again, no idea why this makes a difference, or if they’re really cured, but so far, this is very promising.
