Liquid detection alert on iPhone

I was given the notification that "Liquid has been detected in the lightning connector. Disconnect to allow connector to dry." Does this mean there is water in my phone or that specific charger I was using has water in it somehow? I connected my phone to another charger and it works perfectly fine.

Yes, I believe the iPhone is measuring electrical resistance in the connection. Moisture present will reduce resistance and it triggers the notification.

It could be caused by other factors, but moisture in the form of condensation is a likely culprit. Let your iPhone dry and try a different charging cable and check for notifications.
