‘water in charging port’ but it’s just damp?

so i’m not actually sure on how water got into my charging port—i’m gonna assume it was from my water bottle sweating or something—but i got the ‘water detected’ notification and immediately unplugged. the charger was wet (somehow?) but when i tapped my phone against my hand, no water came out. i have one of those water eject shortcuts on my phone too, so i used that, and nothing still came out. how long would i need to wait until i can charge my phone again? i need it charged for today.

Do you have any of those small packets that go in vitamin and other pill bottles to keep things dry?

If yes, put the phone back in the box that it came in and sprinkle 4-5 packets around.

Wait at least 4 hours before you check the phone.

Do NOT use compressed air to try to dry the port

Do NOT attempt to charge the phone until the "water in port" message is gone.
