iPhone 13 wired hotspot not connecting to Windows computer

Dear Community!

I tried so many ways to get to work my hotspot but it still doesn't work. I have an iPhone 13 with 18.3 iOS and i have a Windows computer. I tried it with an iPhone 6s (iOS 15.6) and an iPhone XR (iOS 17) and it works perfectly well, even if I changed the SIM card. With my new iPhone 13 it just doesn't work. I tried to trigger the driver, and I even reinstalled Windows for this. I just have no idea what's going on

I've never used Hotspot wired, so I can't comment on that, but why are you wanting to use Hotspot wired? As long as your phone supports Hotspot service, just open Wifi on your computer and connect to your iPhone's hotspot. I do know you should be able to use it wired, however.

Read this link and see if anything helps you --> Share your internet connection from your iPhone with Personal Hotspot - Apple Support First thing that comes to mind is if you are using a VPN on your iPhone. The article speaks to that and VPNs do often cause connectivity issues on iPhone as they really aren't necessary, unless required by an employer or school.

Sorry I can't offer more. I've never used my Hotspot, even to my own computer, wired. My computer does connect to Wifi and I have on many occasions used my Hotspot to my computer, wirelessly.

If you can't access Wifi on your computer, that would likely be your issue. Using your phone wired or not to provide access to your computer is in essence creating a Wifi connection. You may need to figure out what is wrong with your computer.
