iTunes has stopped recognizing my devices

I at one point had an issue where iTunes failed to recognize my devices when plugged in. I had to re-install Windows 11 due to unrelated issues and that appeared to fix the problem. Until today, when I go to plug in my phone after having just synced it, and it failed to recognize it. I tried my iPad, same result. The drivers are up to date, and I’m at an utter loss.

Just to check, have you installed the newer apps from Apple: Apple Music, Apple TV and Apple Devices? If so, they take over most of the functions previously provided by iTunes. You will use Apple Devices to sync your devices now. Or uninstall those apps which will restore iTunes back to its original functionality.
