Hp printers invisible on WiFi to Apple devices

I purchased new HP 3301 color laser printer. I installed it onto my WiFi. It has IP address. But my Apple devices (iPad, iPhone, MacBook Air) are unable to find/see/ or print to it (even when provided the IP address). 4+ hours of my troubleshooting and 4 1/2 hours of HP technical support was fruitless. HP claims it has done all it can.

I see many others with similar problems. HP advertised that it works with Mac OS and iOS with simple easy setup.

What is the problem? And what is the solution?
