A refund has been returned to my Apple Pay however I don

I used my Apple wallet to make a purchase, I received a refund from the company. The source of payment was Apple Pay however, in the statement it says I’ve been refunded however I do not see that reflected on the Apple wallet

I used Apple Pay for the purchase. it clearly says in this statement part refunded. Since Apple Pay is not an account and can’t receive funds. then why does it say under the statement of all my transactions refunded.

Apple Pay is simply a way to securely transmit your account information provided by your bank of the card used. That is it and it is not an account that contains any money. All returns go directly back to the card used. They do not go back to your device, into your wallet, and then to your card that was used.

Contact the merchant and get the ARN number for the return. All returns have this number and are used to track the refund. After you get that, call the bank of the card used, and they will be able to provide you with more information. Apple is not involved in the return at all.

The transactions you see in the Wallet are provided by the bank of the card used. When the bank receives the refund, they can update the transactions you see in your Wallet. Some cards will show all transaction in your Wallet, whether you used Apple Pay or not and others just show the transactions where Apple Pay was used. That is up to the bank that issued the card, not Apple.
