Dynamic hotspot password workaround for downtime

As we can’t add hotspot to downtime I was thinking (pls correct me if I’m wrong or if this has already been done, but, on your child’s device create a shortcut which changes the hotspot password everyday to the date or time, a dynamic password, no prompts, it just runs. Close and remove the shortcuts app from the child’s phone in restrictions under downtime do you then have a changing hotspot password everyday day which they don’t know, or does removing the app accessibility prevent it from running?

This is a four-step process

  1. Set Personal Hotspot with Ask to Approve Settings
  2. Create a Shortcut to Set Personal Hotspot Off
  3. Create Automation and choose the time and days of the week when the shortcut will run
  4. Create a Shortcut to Turn On Personal Hotspot for the time that want to be turned on

Step 1: Set Hotspot with Ask to Approve Settings

Step 2: Create a Shortcut to Set Personal Hotspot Off

Step 3: Create Automation and choose the time and days of the week when the shorcut will run

Step 4: Create Shortcut to Turn On Personal Hotspot

Do it yourself... You now have sufficient know-how.
