Rounding of numbers copied from calculator program

I have found that intermittently, if you perform a mathematical calculation with the calculator program, and then press the solution to copy it to another program, such as notes or a text message, the numbers after the decimal point may be truncated and rounded. Curiously it is intermittent.

Example:

Add 9,736.56 + 407.69 on calculator…

Answer displays as 10,144.25

But copies to the buffer as 10,144.2

(if the answer to a similar problem was .26, it would have copied rounded to .3). This behavior seems to be inconsistent. Any thoughts?

You should submit feedback to Apple about that issue:

Product Feedback - Apple

Honestly, the new calculator seems have a lot of odd behavior and developer choices that are different than previous behavior and even different than how anyone expects a calculator to work. Sending feedback is the best way to report behavior and bugs in hopes thta Apple will correct them.
