iPhone 16 pro max-256GB battery draining fast

I recently bought iPhone 16 pro max-256 gb and is shocked to see battery draining very fast. Even if the phone is idle its battery is draining.

I have turned off apps background refresh and followed all care to retain battery. I set it to max.80% as well. But no improvement at all. I am always stressed of battery draining while using the device. I had iPhone 6plus and it had better battery life even after so many years of use.

Could you please advise and help me connect with Apple customer care?

This is normal. When you first setup a new iPhone, there are certain tasks that run in the background where you can experience an increased battery drain. One of these main tasks is indexing, which is sorting your millions of bytes of data on your new iPhone. When the setup is complete, which usually takes a few days but depends on the amount of data you have, your iPhone will return to normal conditions.

Hello,

With all due respect I do not believe the app has to be deleted, the Facebook app does drain a decent amount of battery life but going to the web version is a sacrificed experience which I don’t believe should be present on a brand new device. I do believe there is some other variable draining the battery. If the user likes to use Facebook mobile app, then they should enjoy it!

Hope that helps,

Thanks Everyone

Greetings,

I wonder if this has anything to do with the device software since it is a new issue, upload the battery screenshot as advised by Zachyy but I am also curious about what version of IOS your device is running, as of today you should be on Verison 18.3-(22D63). If you are running any beta software or or possibly if you use the device alot in very cold or very hot weather it could potentially affect it. Additionally, while they may not seem like it, features like Apple Carplay drain ALOT of battery.

Hope that helps,

Adin

All rechargeable batteries are consumable components that become less effective as they chemically age.

Recent software updates can accelerate that process by adding features that consume more power.

As lithium-ion batteries chemically age, the amount of charge they can hold diminishes, resulting in shorter amounts of time before a device needs to be recharged.

Apple won’t replace the battery until it reaches 80% capacity.

Li Ion (Lithium Ion) batteries have recharging capabilities; however there are limits.

I recommend to slow charge your iPhone to maximize the charge capacity, battery health and efficiency. ⚡️🔋

NOTE:

Capacity loss in standby applications is largely determined by temperature.

Charge above -30°C and discharge below 55°C for best results.
