How to export smaller clips from longer imovie. I have a six minute movie I need to take 10 seconds of it, make a separate clip and post in online. The only youtube video on point is a guy using a computer but I thought imovie was only for ipads and iphones.

I don't see any controls in iMovie for iOS that allow for exporting a segment of a project.
You might try saving the project to the iPhone/iPad Photos app and there trimming out the part of the movie that you don't want, leaving you with the 10 seconds that you can post online.

I forgot to mention, I had to put it in imovie to remove some background noise that was very intrusive, so I can't just do it off the photos app, my fault for posing a question without proofing it carefully
If you save the iMovie project as a video file to Photos, your noise removing edits would go with it.
