Can a deleted contact still track location if location sharing was not turned off before deleting?

We deleted a contact on my teen's phone (with their approval). They had location sharing turned on for this contact before the contact was deleted. Is the contact still able to track my teen's location? We did not turn it off before deleting the contact.

Location sharing issues I share location with a few contacts and have no issue with seeing theirs and vice versa. However, one contact is the most recent one and he see’s mine but on his it says “No location found” but he is sharing location indefinitely, I even did the process myself just to be sure. I have read up on all the steps to troubleshoot but nothing has worked and only for this one contact. He has a new iPhone 15 and I’m still using an iPhone 12. Could this possibly be the reason why?

Share Location in FindMy w/person who has Multiple Phone Numbers I had misplaced my phone yesterday and called my contact that I share my location with to ask her where my phone is. She was unable to see my phone, not through messages, and not in FindMy. I got my phone back today and upon looking at everything, privacy s& security my location is on, share my is on, in FindMy it says she can see my location, under messages and under her contract it says I’m sharing my location with her. In the past she was always able to see my location. Looking at her contact info, she has several phone numbers, work, mobile, home, other.. I’m not sure how it would’ve changed because I have not edited her contact info but I realized her office # is stared (favorited- in favorites), but that # is a landline, it needs to be sharing location with her mobile/cell#. Is this what’s causing the problem? There isn’t anywhere that I can tell and I looked to find out what specific number(s) my location is being shared with. Am I missing something? Can someone help me with this?

Yes. This contact will still be able to track your teen’s location. Once you removed their contact, It will continue to share location and just show up as a phone number in the Find My app. If you want to stop sharing location with them, you’ll have to select them in Find My then select Stop Sharing Location.
