Gif selection issue for posts on X in Safari after macOS Sequoia update

I recently updated my 2021 M1 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar to Sequoia 15.3 and Safari 18.3, and now, for some reason, when I am posting on X.com through Safari, I can open the gif option to add a gif, but once I type in a gif description in the search bar the next window just has colored rectangles instead of the gifs themselves. This did not happen until I upgraded to Sequoia 15.3 and Safari 18.3 two days ago.

I have checked Safari settings to see if changing to "Allow All Auto-Play" fixes it. It doesn't. I have cleared my History Cache, closed Safari, and reopened it. Doesn't fix it. I have shut down my Mac, waited, restarted, reloaded my window and tabs. Doesn't fix it. Could definitely use some help here, or find out if this is a bug that needs a hotfix.

The only place I can recreate it is MacOS on Safari. Gifs work on my iPhone X app, and they work on the same Mac Studio is I switch to Chrome. So it's Safari ever since the last MacOS update. Been well over a week now where I have to switch to iPhone or Chrome to post a gif. Not sure why Safari or MacOS can't fix this with an update. But one thing is for sure that it is nothing wrong with X.

No, it is not an X issue. That's not how it works. What you're doing by right clicking and opening the gif in a different tab shows you that both X and the link X is using to show the gifs in it's UI works. That's all. This specific issue for people happened with the macOS Sequoia and Safari updates. There were no problems seeing the gifs in the pop-up window until the updates. Whether it's both updates together or it's one of them specifically, the issue did not appear until the updates.

Do you also know how I know it's not an X issue? If I sign in to X on my iOS Safari on my iPhone SE2, I can see the gifs as normal. I also have an old MacBook still on Big Sur and I signed in to X there and checked, and I can still see the gifs. That means the problem is not with X, it's with either the macOS or Safari updates or both together.

Did as you suggested but there is no "GiF Keyboard" in my applications. Have brand new 14" MBP with current Sequoia OS. I went to Finder>Applications & no GiF there. Did u leave something out perhaps? I'm old lady so not super tech savvy. Would love to have that option! Tks!
