Can I buy an iPhone not made in china?

Does Apple manufacture any of the iPhones outside of China? If that’s the case are they still made by a Chinese company?

iPhones are assembled mostly in China from components made in dozens of countries. Apple also has iPhones assembled in India. India mostly assembles older models and the lower cost iPhones. iPhone Pro models are generally assembled in China. Apple’s primary contractor for assembly is Foxxcom (Hon Hai Precision Industry Co) a Taiwanese company. Apple does use other contractors for assembly too.

Most every modern device is manufactured using components and materials sourced all from around the world.

Apple product assembly occurs in China, Vietnam, and India.

And as mentioned, the assembled components are sourced and manufactured from all over.

Apple makes iPhone in a number of countries, but you cannot specify what country you want your phone manufactured in. iPhone's are made for different regions, so you should buy the phone which was made for the region/country you live and will use the phone. If there is a reason you don't want your phone made in China, PLEASE DO NOT tell us.

The parts for an iPhone are made in factories around the world. iPhones are assembled primarily in China and India.

However, despite where a phone might be assembled, Apple offers phones that are designed for use in specific regions of the world.

The important thing here is to remember to buy a phone in the country in which you will be using it most of the time.
