Separate work and personal photos on iPhone

I have a iphone 12 as my work phone and an iphone 14 pro as my private. I work as an carpenter and i use my work phone for mails calls and photos for documentation. My trouble is, i have it connected on the same icloud as my private phone. This is not an issue directly but i find it annoying that all my work photos is in the same cameraroll. It really fills it up. Is there any soloution to this? I still want all the contacts on both phones.

You can turn off iCloud Photos on your work iPhone so your photos don’t sync over to your personal iPhone. Do so by going to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Photos > Turn off Sync this iPhone. Your contacts will still sync.

The software is working as designed, as content across all devices will be shared.

Here? Use a second Apple Account.

Depending on where you’re hosting your contacts data, devices associated with each Apple Account can be configured to share that data.

From your private device and private Apple Account, add the Apple Account for the business:

Settings > Apps > Contacts > Contacts Accounts > Add Account.

You can also set the preferred default Contacts account (probably) for the private device.

Settings > Apps > Contacts > Default Account.

Here’s how to untangle the rest of the sharing: How to “unshare” an Apple ID - Apple Community

What do you expect when you use the same apple id for your work/personal phone.

Should be annoyed at yourself, not Apple or your phone.
