System data on iPhone excessive memory usage

Hi all! I have an iPhone 16 256 gb. The "system data" category amount for more than 100 Gigabyte of used space. Such number display great volatility within the same day (yesterday it was 15gb). How is that possible? Do you have any suggestions on how to make space and avoid the issue (I already forced restart, followed all iPhone suggestions and so on). Thanks in advance to all people willing to help me!

You could have some corrupt data on your iPhone. First please try a Force Restart as shown below. Then if that doesn't help clear up system data storage you should try erasing your iPhone then restoring from a backup.

  • Press and quickly release the volume up button.
  • Press and quickly release the volume down button.
  • Press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo
