I can't get my itunes library to show up in music

There aren't any errors or popups, just nothing happens. My playlists imported, but they're all empty, no songs. I have over 7,000 songs in my library, I can see the music folder on my computer, I go through the import process, but absolutely nothing happens and no songs are brought over and there is ZERO information as to why. It would be really great if the instructions actually worked when followed.

See Move your iTunes/Music library to a new computer - Apple Community. If you are importing playlists rather than converting an existing .itl file you are taking the wrong approach. Exported playlists only import correctly when each track is at the precise location specified in file, which may not be the case when you have copied the files from one computer to another. What are you transferring the library from and to? Music may reject an .itl made on anything older than Mojave, and Monterey just fails for reasons (not that you will have than on an M4 MBP). I can generally work around both issues on an old Catalina system and have been helping people out with an exchange of emails. See my user profile if needed.
