calculator app no longer repeats the last equation

Since updating to a new iOS, my calculator app no longer supports repeating the last equation by simply pressing the equals button.

This is incredibly frustrating leading to repeatedly typing in the same request over and over to simulate compounding. No real life calculator works the this way.

Is this an intentional programming error by Apple? I can’t fathom a situation where by this feature is helpful. Is this standard across all iOS now?
