False water damage claim from Apple Repair Center

This happened to me!

For the second time, my iPhone 15 Pro Max stopped connecting to WiFi/cell service. The WiFi toggle button was completely grey’d out.

Back in December 2024 (the first time this has happened), it was replaced due to the internal hardware issue. Last week (1/18/25), it happened AGAIN. The apple genius rep said it needed to go to a repair center.. I haven’t heard back from anyone so I dig through my email to track it down. Come to find out the “apple repair center” said that the repair isn’t covered (despite it being an internal hardware issue) and it would cost $699 to “repair”. I got the first iPhone 15 pro max in June 2024. So it hasn’t been a year. They said they found “evidence of water damage” which is 100% false. My phone has NEVER near any water nor moisture. I got it last month! The issue is the exact same as the first time and Apple’s 1 year warranty states that it would be replaced.
