Overheating issue in iPhone 16 Pro

I bought my phone 16 Pro 5 days ago and its temperature is rising like crazy. What should I do and can I replace it?

Troubleshooting an Overheating iPhone:


Did you Transfer Data?:

There are likely too many processes taking place. So, power off the phone, to let it cool, and then try clearing space. Have you recently filled you iPhone storage? Having low available storage can most certainly case overheating. process are likely taken up

Perform the following:

I. Cool Down the iPhone:

For a few hours, perform the following...

  • Power Off: the iPhone for a bit
  • Unplug: any Cables
  • Place it Atop: Laptop Cooler
  • Keep it in: an open space
  • Keep it Out of: direct sunlight


then...


2. Clear Space Using my User Tips:

See if you need to clear lots of space. System resources may be using up too much services, making it overheat. Internal storage cannot be upgraded. It is what it is. So, the maximum internal storage capacity never increases, even if you upgraded your iCloud plan. Learn More here: What's the Difference Between Device Storage and iCloud Storage? Apple Support

Any Corrosion?

I am wondering if it is a corrosive battery. Do you see any lumps on the iPhone? If so, it is corroding, and that makes this a health hazard. So, if corrosion is occurring, you should get this serviced, ASAP.

A. Contacting Apple Support:


B. Contacting an AASP:

Also, look into taking it to an AASP(Apple Authorized Service Provider) seeing if they offer service for this.

  1. Go Here: Find Locations - Apple Authorized Reseller
  2. Click: Service & Support
  3. Enter: your location information
  4. See: if there is an AASP nearby
  5. Contact: an AASP that shows up, and find out more about the services that they offer to fix the iPhone

These conditions are entirely normal when you first setup a new iPhone. Certain related tasks including indexing may continue in the background, in which you can experience an increased thermal temperature. When the tasks are fully complete, your iPhone will return to normal conditions.
