No sound through Apple Podcasts app

Recently my Podcasts app has been having sound issues. About half the time when I have tried to listen to a podcast no sound plays. When I go to play a podcast episode the app will show loading symbols on the specific podcast episode page and then it will show the timestamp of my location in the episode like normal. Then the time starts going up, and the location marker moves to the right as the episode plays as it normally would, but there is no sound.

Previously when this has happened I would close the app and open it again a few times until I finally would get sound. However, recently I have spent several minutes opening and closing the app and now I get the same result every single time: no sound.

I have the latest version of iOS (18.2.1) on an iPhone 13, and my Podcasts app is up to date as well.

I would like support on how to fix this issue!
