Why is my Apple Music volume stuck at a high level?

No matter what volume I have my slider at on the desktop apple music app, I cannot turn it down past 5 and it is still quite loud. I have tried adjusting settings and using my system volume mixer to lower it but even if I have the system volume mixer for Apple Music at 0, it still plays very loud.

Apple Music Audio Low I'm trying to figure out Apple Music today. When I play on my mac, the audio level is extremely low. Audio works fine if I open a browser and play something on YouTube, so I'm pretty sure my speakers are OK, and the basic audio settings of the computer are OK. It seems to be an issue with the Apple Music app. Is there some way to get Apple Music app to play songs at a normal volume?

Dolby Atmos music quieter than non-Atmos songs With the recent Dolby Atmos update on Windows, I tried listening to Dolby Atmos songs. I have a playlist of songs that contains Dolby Atmos songs as well as non-Atmos, lossless songs. Usually, I have my Apple Music volume at ~50%, but when I listen to Dolby Atmos songs, I have to set the volume to 100% to get a similar loudness as a non-Atmos song at 50%. This is not ideal because at 100%, non-Atmos songs are way too loud and I have to turn the volume back down for those. I have tried listening with Sound Check on and off, and the loudness issue persists either way. Another strange quirk is that the audio has the correct loudness for a moment (less than a second) when starting the song or skipping forward, but then the loudness lowers again and stays there. Anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it? I'm on Windows 11 24h2, Apple Music 1.5.4.79.

Loss of volume on Apple Music playing on Macbook Pro 16 I've just encountered this problem, although I see others have experienced it as far back as nearly two years ago: Songs played on Apple Music are now barely audible on my Macbook Pro, whether played through the built-in speakers or via Bluetooth. I just edited a track using Logic Pro and Adobe Audition that plays at a normal volume in either program but is dramatically lower when imported into Apple Music. Specifically, a track that was registering at about 75db when played on Logic Pro through the Macbook Pro speakers (Logic Pro audio level set at 0.0, Macbook Pro volume set at about 90%) was about 54db when played on Apple Music. This drove me for the first time to fiddle with the equalizer, which I have never had to do previously. Is it possible that a preference file or something else in the program got corrupted, and that could be causing the problem? The same track plays perfectly well through Apple Music on my iPhone 12.
