updates on a 2015 Macbook Air

What am I supposed to do if I cannot download the latest update on my mac? I am needing to download things on the mac but cannot simply because of the update issue. What do I do? I can't use my app store.

The 2015 MacBook Air can run macOS 12 Monterey but nothing newer.

If you need software that needs a newer OS, then you'll need to buy a new(er) Mac.


macOS 13 Ventura is compatible with these computers

For details about your Mac model, click the Apple menu () at the top of your screen and choose About This Mac. 


If you're having a problem with the App Store, try rebooting your Mac and see if that makes a difference.

Make do with the applications you have, look for alternatives to the applications you can't get, or replace the old computer with a new one.
