  1. WhatsApp and Apple ID: WhatsApp does not use your Apple ID for logging in or account verification. Instead, WhatsApp relies on your phone number to authenticate and verify your account. The Apple ID is only relevant for downloading or updating WhatsApp from the App Store.
  2. Scam Alert - Expiry Messages: If you receive a message stating that "WhatsApp is expiring on [a specific date]," it is most likely a scam. WhatsApp does not send messages or notifications about account expiration. Official updates or changes will always come directly from the app or through the official website, not as forwarded messages or unverified sources.

Key Advice:

  • Ignore and delete such messages.
  • Do not click on any links or share personal information in response to these messages.
  • Ensure you keep your WhatsApp updated through the App Store for the latest features and security patches.
