So on calendars, you have your work calendar and your home calendar, but my home calendar is not there so anytime I go to make a new event there is only the work calendar

From what I remember 'Home' and 'Work' are the two calendars in the app before you start adding more. Either you have deleted your Home calendar or it is not visible.
To see if it remains, and if so make it visible, open the app, touch on the Calendars label at the foot of the page, and if Home is listed add a tick in the circle to the left of the label.
If 'Home' isn't one of your calendars touch on the 'Add Calendar' label on the bottom left of the screen and follow the prompts. You don't have to call it Home; you could keep adding as many calendars as you wish for various types of events, such as Medical, Sport, Appointments, and so on.
I had the home calendar as well and now suddenly disappeared, together with all past and future events I had saved. Is there a reason for this and a way to recover it?
