Fake Apple tech support scammed

Was just scammed out of almost $1000. They used Apple Pay stating that was a code being sent not a dollar amount to unlock my husbands iPhone. My fault for not googling to verify apple support number to see if was a scam or not.

they had me type text messages to them from a created account with my husbands name to send verification codes…email addresses that were used were d**************65@icloud.com

& ki**************6@icloud.com

they used HelpDeskby remote pc to get into my phone. I could hear loud traffic in the background and animals…sounded like outside of USA but he says they were in California

You simply do not respond to any Message/Email and provide any information including Financial information. That has always been the case. For Apple Cash, never send money to anyone you do not know. Any contact by a person on the internet is not someone you know. Any sender from an email/message can spoof the sending information, so you cannot use that to identify them.
