iCloud email slow after IOS 18 update un iPad but not iPhone SE.

Attachments from known senders is taking 5 minutes or more to load on my iPad but is OK on iPhone SE. The “connection to email” also takes forever…is there a fix for this and it has only manifested itself since the IOS 18 updates.
