Books disappeared from Books app after update on iPad

At one point I had a good number of books on my books app. I just checked again after an update and they’re all gone. Can anyone help with this?

(the obvious solutions of logging onto other devices or to make sure my account is synced I have already tried)

Apple Books Keeps Deleting My Books How do I prevent the Books apps from deleting (moving to the cloud) copies of my books? This is extremely frustrating as I find myself on a plane or a boat or somewhere without Internet access and my books miraculously deleted. It's not a storage saving issue because my books take up less than a GB and I've got hundreds of GB of free space. I don't see an option in settings to prevent books from being deleted. Downloaded books getting offloaded from Books app on iPad mini. My books keep getting offloaded from the Books app. I’ve been reading on Books for nearly a decade now, but about a few months back, my books kept getting offloaded and I would have to download them back again. I understand this is due to iCloud, and has to do with device storage but I have well over 30GB or so to spare, and I’m getting tired of downloading my hundreds of books again and again when I wanna read them. Apple Books Automatically offloading books Hi. I have many books in my Apple Books app and for some reason, they are offload after sometime. If I am not near internet it makes it impossible to use them. How can stop Apple Books apps from offloading my books, pdf etc automatically. They are mine and it should not be done. I have plenty of space on my ipad, phone etc

Go to Settings > Apps > Books and turn iCloud Drive off and back on.

I’ve tried that and it didn’t work. Are there any other suggestions you could propose?
