Why does Apple tie "notifications" on the Watch to "Wrist Detection"?

Notifications not appearing on the watch after all settings double checked. If you have tattoos you won't receive notifications on your watch with some sleeve tattoo designs.

Tattoos: will make text notifications NOT work if wrist detection is turned on.

After two hours of trial and error for not receiving text notifications on the watch, we determined that "Wrist Detection" on will not send a notification to the iPhone not the watch because of a full sleeve tattoo.

If the wrist with the sleeve tattoo has the watch and wrist detection is on, the notifications will NOT appear on the watch. If the wrist detection if OFF, the notifications WILL appear. However, all the functionality associated with the health aspects do not work.

Solution:

Apple should not tie watch notifications in any way to wrist detection. Make it simple.

Add a button on the iPhone. On or Off. On means notifications will appear on the watch regardless of tattoos and wrist detection. Off means no notifications on the watch.

Why does Apple design the watch notifications programming tied to wrist detection? It makes no sense.
