Are you using the macOS 10.14 Mojave indicated by the equipment line?

The Epson ET-2400 does not support Apple's driverless AirPrint technology, so you would need to install drivers.

As I understand it, the Epson Smart Panel is for iOS or Android devices. If you are using a macOS 10.14 Mojave MacBook Air, it ought to be possible to install drivers downloaded directly from https://epson.com/Support/Printers/All-In-Ones/ET-Series/Epson-ET-2400/s/SPT_C11CJ67201?review-filter=macOS+10.14.x .

For a wireless printer connection to a Wi-Fi router, information can be found in the user's guide:

https://files.support.epson.com/docid/cpd6/cpd62154.pdf

If your router supports it, you may be able to use the simplified WPS push-button method (see page 25).

The MacBook Air would print via the Wi-Fi router.
