Error 'Invalid Email Address' when changing password on iOS Mail account
This is still the same as iOS Mail Account “Invalid Email Address” … - Apple Community which cannot be replied to any more. I want to share a few links to work around this bug.
So I am forced to re-post this here – stupid.
Bug: When you change the password of your email account, then any usual email client would ask you to input the new password. Though, iPhone / iPad pop up a wrong dialog stating "Invalid email Address", even though the email address was not touched at all.
Solution: Delete all aliases (additional email addresses) that you had configured for this account. Then you can change the password, and then you need to re-add all the aliases again.
This bug is quite old. Would be nice if Apple would fix it..
