Deleting 'Tab Group Favorites' in Safari Bookmarks

Recently, I decided to become more familiar with Safari. As I explored saving bookmarks, I noticed a tab grouping in bookmarks called "Tab Group Favorites" which I found to be overkill. I quickly learned how to add and remove favorites, create tabs and delete tabs, but no matter what I have tried I was unable to delete the "Tab Group Favorites" tab. This tab folder is somewhat annoying and really overcomplicates what should be a simple feature of Safari. It's probably my least favorite feature and dare I say somewhat annoying characteristic of the Safari Browser. How do I delete or hide this tab (Tab Group Favorites)?

I recently did the same and made an effort to explore Safari in depth as well. To answer your question, I'm not sure that you can remove that item from the Bookmarks menu, but if you have the left sidebar bookmarks view enabled, you can at least click the ">" disclosure icon to the left of Tab Group Favorites to collapse the items. Have you tried removing all of the tab groups that you have created to see if that also removes that parent container? It may only exist if it has tab groups to contain. I use the feature and therefore can't easily test that for you.

Everybody has their own working style, and I respect that you don't like the feature in your way. Hopefully someone will have a suggestion to hide it completely.

I have found that Tab Groups on both iPhone and Mac are useful for me when I need to completely shift what I am working on and want to preserve all of the related tabs for getting back to that task or idea later. Most other browsers implement that with "bookmark all tabs" feature, but the Tab Groups in Safari has grown on me lately.

I appreciate your answer, especially your respectful acknowledgement that other users may not all like the same features. I read that Safari was customizable and I was hoping Safari would allow you to customize this feature. It appears that this is not a customizable feature. I was hoping short or removal, there would be at the very least a hide button, but unfortunately that doesn't appear to be an option either.

I did try removing all tab groups. I tried removing all favorites. I tried clearing out my browsing history. Nothing seems to work. I am afraid once this annoyance appears on your Safari browser it cannot be customized. If anyone else has successfully removed this annoyance from their Safari Browser or at the very least figured out how to hide this feature, I would appreciate your input.

I hate the fact that I got so hung up on attempting to remove or hide a feature that I find to be an annoyance, but at times my OCD gets the better of me. I do know that after researching this question in multiple places that I am not alone in users, who find this features to be a distraction or annoyance. I am wondering if there is a more customizable browser that would work well with my Mac or if for compatibility purposes Safari is the best choice?
