Unresponsive Apple TV 4K after power outage

Hello,

I'm experiencing an issue with my Apple TV 4K (128GB). The problem started immediately after a short power outage. Upon rebooting, the Apple TV displayed a software error message with options to reset or restart, but it no longer responds to either the physical remote or the Apple TV Remote app on my iPhone. I

Here are the steps I’ve already tried:

1. Restarted the Apple TV using Home + Down keys.

2. Unplugged and replugged the device for over 24 hours.

3. Checked HDMI and power connections to ensure they are secure.

4. Attempted to control the Apple TV using the app on my iPhone.

5. No physical damage was found.

Additionally, my Apple TV 4K does not have a USB-C port, so I am unable to connect it to my Mac for a restore via iTunes.

Unfortunately, the Apple TV remains unresponsive and does not perform any other operations.

Best regards, Berhanu

Likely got zapped by a power surge caused by the outage if you didn’t have a surge protector connected. I hired an electrician to install a whole house surge protector in my breaker panel after a similar experience with a different electronic device.
