Screen control over FaceTime

Whenever I call someone over FaceTime no matter who it is, I never have the option to control their screen remotely. The other person always does, but I do not. I don't know if that isn't an option for my phone (13 Pro Max)? Please help me figure out why I have never had the option to control someone's screen remotely, thank you!
