Mac Mini M4pro HDMI and Samsung 57" double UHD

I own Mac Mini M4pro HDMI and Samsung 57" double UHD with 7680 x 2160 works fine.

But after standby the resolution is max 5120x1440.

I have to restart the mac to get the full resolution of 7680x2160.

I'm using latest OS.

Any hints?

"Samsung claims that I have to use DP-cable, but in the manuel HDMI with 7160/120Hz is supported. I believe the problem is the mac and not the monitor, because I can restart the monitor without solving the problem. I can restart the mac and the problem is solved."

Device Not Working with macOS:

A. Single-Out this User:

See if you can install this using a new user. If so, then it is an issue with your current user. If not, then it is an issue with the entire MacOS.

B. Single-Out this Mac:

What do other devices give you for this connection? If this Mac is only that is giving you this error, then it's an issue why your device --not the entire network.

C. Try Safe Mode:

In Safe Mode, login items do not run, and corrupt system files(i.e. caches) are intentionally reset as a way to fix issues

  1. Boot: in to Safe Mode
  2. Log in: as same user
  3. Wait: 30 seconds
  4. Restart; your Mac
  5. Log in: as same user
  6. Perform another login

D. Disable VPNs:

Are you connected to a VPN? If so, disconnect form it while logging in.

E. Restart your Router:

Power off your router for 30 seconds, and then power it back on. Try this once more.

Thank you for the followup reply.

Update the TV AND Contact Samsung::

If connected to the Internet, see if you need to install some updates on it. On top of that, contact Samesunfg, asking them how to fix the default setting.

  1. Go Here: Contact Us - Samsung
  2. Scroll to: Message Us
  3. Click: Chat with us

Sleep is unnecessary on later Macs and should be disabled. Shut for long absences/idle overnights and for regular operation use the settings exactly as shown below: (reboot after setting):

Also, do not manual-sleep for brief absences; use instead the Lock Screen settings to switch the display off on timer:

Once set, you can also use Control-Command-Q to immediately lock your screen (instead of waiting for the display to switch off on timer).

Reset the TV to Factory Settings:

Is this a new issue? Is this not a new TV? If so, take a photo of each screen seen on your TV. Then, reset the TV (not the Mac) to Factory Settings. View the owner's manual for instructions of how to do so. Once reset, add back all the confutations.

Replace the cheap long Samsung supplied cable with a short (3.3') high speed certified 8K HDMI cable.

Or as Samsung suggested, use a short (3.3') high speed 8K USB-C to DisplayPort cable.
